East Riding SME marks fifth year of business growth with the support of East Riding Business Services Team

When Clay10 Creative was set up in August 2016 as a sole trader business, Luc Clayton (Director) came to the East Riding Business Services Team for support in how to grow his business in a sustainable way.

The company has grown year on year and now employs 10 team members. Coming up to its 5th birthday, Clay10 Creative is a leading digital design agency, dedicated to combining the latest technology and creative techniques to help companies tell their story and create digital solutions to help them work smarter. Based in the ergo business centre, they have moved to larger offices within the building three times to accommodate their growing team!

Lyndsay Perkins, Head of Product and Strategy, said “The flexibility of the terms has been extremely helpful in supporting our business to remain agile and grow at speed when we have needed to. The building itself is great and offers a fantastic opportunity to meet people and start business relationships.”

Clay10 has continued to work with the East Riding Business Services team throughout the last 5 years accessing one to one advisory support and advice which has helped with their growth and development as a business.  This support has included attendance at workshops and accessing a number of grants over the period.

The increased demand for digital services has seen the company continue to grow during lock down and recently launch its first product – A10dee. A10dee allows businesses to design a custom space where they can host a range of events. From internal collaborations, to running seminars and exhibitions, the flexible platform aims to quickly connect individuals and provides a refreshing alternative to standard video calls.

“The impact of the recent pandemic has only boosted the trend for working from home and seen the number of disparate audiences increase. As businesses see their workers spread across a vast area, we wanted to create a hub that would help connect individuals.” said Luc Clayton, Director and Founder of Clay10 Creative. “With A10dee, we’ve combined the very best of what Clay10 offers – engaging design and new technology – to create a platform that is intuitive, fun and gives users a new way to host meetings and events.”

A10dee is already being used by a number of Clay10 Creative’s clients including Aura Innovation Centre, Siemens, Age UK and National Electrotechnical Training (NET) to host events, provide training and connect isolated individuals.

"The move to ergo has given us an excellent opportunity to have a dedicated on-site point of access for both tenants and the wider business population. This will enable us to continue our work supporting regional businesses and promoting supply chain opportunities."
